BOONE COUNTY- Columbia Regional Airport will add two flights to its schedule starting on May 6.
American Airlines will re-add a flight to Chicago-O Hare International Airport. United Airlines will re-add a flight to Denver the same day. The two flights were suspended due to the pandemic.Â
Right now, American only offers flights to Dallas-Fort Worth. United only flies to Chicago.Â
The new flights will open up the day before MU s graduation begins, on May 7. The True-False Film Festival begins earlier that week, on May 5. This will give travelers more options to reach Columbia.
The airport is still operating below its pre-pandemic levels, but the two added flights are a step in that direction.

Hawke s Bay Airport has won a reprieve from Airways following a review of its air traffic control needs but the axe still hangs over other centres. Airways today announced that an independent aeronautical study has determined that the airport s existing air traffic control (ATC) service should stay.
Those still under review are Gisborne, New Plymouth, Rotorua and Invercargill airports, and the airfield flight information services provided at Kapiti Coast Airport and Milford Sound Piopiotahi Aerodrome.

Hawke s Bay Airport s existing air traffic control service will be kept after an independent aeronautical study determined that it was needed.
In May last year, Airways New Zealand launched a review of the air traffic services it provided at seven regional airports with reducing traffic volumes, which included Hawke s Bay Airport.
The purpose of the review was to confirm that the right level of air traffic control was provided at the airports and that appropriate agreements were in place for funding these services.
